My name is Stephanie Birdsall and I'm excited to be teaching at Idaho Fitness Factory! I have trained in
ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop and am currently a dance instructor and the Artistic Director at Artistic Dance
Company in Boise.I fell in love with Zumba because I realized I could combine my love of dance with fitness and lead a
workout that is not only extremely effective, but super fun. I am also certified in Zumba Gold and I teach
chair classes at an assisted living/memory care facility. I try to incorporate a variety of dance styles into my Zumba class...from the latin dances like Salsa,
Merengue, and Cha Cha to Bollywood, African, and current Hip Hop hits you hear on the radio. It is fast
paced, and you will definitely sweat in my class! I love seeing how people get addicted to this format of group exercise because it feels more like a dance
party than a workout. Come join me and give it a try!!

She took the leap to do something for herself and certified in High Fitness. It’s a great muscle-sculpting, core-strengthening class that provides different exercise options for the person who walks into class for the first time or is a class regular. Everyone leaves class feeling like they had a successful workout. I have been a group fitness instructor for six years and am also certified through AFAA and Schwinn indoor cycling. Hi!  I'm Cathy Taylor and I am soooooo excited to be teaching SHiNE Dance Fitness at Idaho Fitness Factory!  I am a busy momma of 5, passionate about health and wellness, run 2 successful businesses and am actively involved in volunteer work.  For years I wanted to be consistent with my workouts, but found it hard to make time for something that felt like drudgery.  In fact, I hated running so much that I tried out for Drill Team in high school, having never taken a dance class in my life, just to avoid running the mile in P.E. :)  When I took my first SHiNE class, I fell in love.  Dancing with friends in a group environment?  Letting loose and being a little silly?  It didn't matter if I wasn't a good dancer.  It was so much FUN, and at the same time, effective!!!!  I couldn't WAIT to go to class!  That's when I knew that I wanted to be an instructor and help others find a passion for exercise, relieve stress, and experience more joy in their lives!

Hi, I'm Debra, the Pop Pilates® Instructor here at Idaho Fitness Factory. I've been teaching this format since Jan. 2017 and absolutely love it!  POP Pilates® takes traditional mat Pilates up a notch with choreography that is led by the music. Motivating others is a passion of mine and this format allows for growth of all fitness levels. Leaving no muscle group untouched while providing modifications for each individual is the beauty of my POP Pilates® class. My class is also easy on the knees. We WILL feel our core strengthening with every week that passes. A strong core is essential to proper posture and support of all movements. 

 

You will also see me around the gym using the weights and machines. Working on my pull up and bench press personal records are a constant goal of mine. Outside of the gym, you may see me out with the family exploring with our dog Leia, taking in a movie, seeking a good coffee spot, health food store, or a brewery.

Leslie fell in love with yoga as a means of quieting the busy mind, recentering and becoming more present in everyday life. She has learned yoga to be beautifully healing, empowering and a gift to find internal surrender. She feels yoga is defined by each unique individual and what they personally need. She hopes all who attend find shining brightly within themselves a bit more clarity, empowerment, light and deep joy through their practice.

After relocating to Boise from Switzerland, I went to my first yoga class in 2005 by curiosity: what is so special about yoga? And I was instantly hooked! I loved how the awareness of my body was giving a break to my brain. A moving meditation! Now, I am a RYT 500 and still an eternal student. There is so much to learn! I  really enjoy helping people discover what yoga can be to them, by showing them the beauty of the breath connecting with the body and mind. I try to bring different perspectives to my teaching to keep our curiosity, and discovery intact!

Hi!  I'm Cathy Taylor and I am soooooo excited to be teaching SHiNE Dance Fitness at Idaho Fitness Factory!  I am a busy momma of 5, passionate about health and wellness, run 2 successful businesses and am actively involved in volunteer work.  For years I wanted to be consistent with my workouts, but found it hard to make time for something that felt like drudgery.  In fact, I hated running so much that I tried out for Drill Team in high school, having never taken a dance class in my life, just to avoid running the mile in P.E. :)  When I took my first SHiNE class, I fell in love.  Dancing with friends in a group environment?  Letting loose and being a little silly?  It didn't matter if I wasn't a good dancer.  It was so much FUN, and at the same time, effective!!!!  I couldn't WAIT to go to class!  That's when I knew that I wanted to be an instructor and help others find a passion for exercise, relieve stress, and experience more joy in their lives!
